"Text Dead", Way To Die #78, is the third death featured in "Death: A User's Manual", which has been originally aired March 29, 2009.
Plot[]
Tricia and Chet were texters. Chet was driving while Tricia was walking, but now their death clock was ticking. The problem was that they didn't know when to stop. Tricia was walking around town, arguing with Chet about where to pick her up.
When Chet encounters Tricia walking down the road, he doesn't see Tricia until he hits her, crushing her organs and killing her instantly.

- This segment was based on true stories about texting-while-driving. Several people got into accidents that caused death.
- If you look closely in the back ground in the truck's POV before Tricia gets hit, everyone walking is also texting. Likely to reference the modern world of using phones of the time, including texting.
- This death takes place a same day as Tube Snaked
Goofs[]
- Anachronism: Chet uses an iPhone, when he was texting to Tricia. Since this takes place in 2005, iPhones weren't available on the market until two years later. A similar error also occurs in Chairway to Heaven.
- Anachronism: A 2007 Honda CR-V is depicted, despite the segment taking place in 2005.
- Continuity: Tricia has a ponytail while texting, but as she gets run over, her hair appears to be down. Then when she collapses dead, her ponytail is back.
- Continuity / Factual Error: When Tricia drops dead to the ground along with her phone, the latter said that Chet's message was sent on Friday, October 18, in spite of the death taking place on August 19, 2005. The last Friday, October 18th at the time was in 2002.
