"Semi-cide", Way to Die #208, is the first death to be featured in "Life Will Kill You", which aired on May 14, 2008, as well as the first death in the series.

Plot[]

Dating couple Jeff Stewart and Jessica Baron were making their way to Las Vegas to tie the knot. But as they clowned around at a rest stop, their day of fun came to a sudden halt when they heard screaming. They rush over to the scene discovers something that would haunt them forever. A man, Frank Soriani, got run over and cut in half by an 18-wheeler semi-truck, whose driver didn't see him, lying on the ground, while working on his Ford F-350 for a broken muffler. Because of this, he screams in pain and lies back against his truck. His upper body and legs were accidentally sent to two separate hospitals, and Soriani dies after three and a half hours of being cut in half.

(Death Takes Vacation (Reconstructed) is playing)

Jessica: Supreme orange come tonight, alright?

Narrator: On a beautiful spring morning, Jeff Stewart and Jessica Baron were making their way to Las Vegas, to do what lovebirds do: tie the knot.

Jessica: What if you wrong doesn't like me?

(They park their car at a rest stop, Jessica gets out of the car, gonna buy some drinks)

-Jeff: Oh, wait, wait. 2 sugars and 2 creams, alright? Thanks.
-Jessica: Fine.

Narrator: But as they clumped around at the rest stop,

-Narrator: they had no idea their day, was about to come undone.
-Jessica: Take this for me.

(Jessica gives Jeff his drink cup, annoyed by Jeff recording her)

Jessica: (Giggles) Stop!

(Cut in Two Part B (Reconstructed) is playing)

Jessica: Please. Please, come on, let's just get in the car and go, we're so close.

Narrator: While mugging for their video camera, the young couple heard a terrible screaming.

Frank: (Screams)

(The couples get close to the screaming)

Frank: (Screams)

-Narrator: It was coming from behind the semi-truck that had just pulled to a stop.
-Jessica: Oh my god!

Jessica: Oh my god!!

(It reveals that Frank got run over)

Narrator: What they saw was something that haunt them forever: A man torn into clinging to life.

Frank: (Screams)

(Replay of the semi-truck runs over Frank)

Narrator: Frank Soriani had been under his pickup truck fixing a broken muffler. The driver of the semi didn't see Frank lying on the ground below and ran him over. Severing his lower body from his upper torso. Remarkably, the poor man was still alive.

(De-Coffinated (Reconstructed) is playing)

Dr. Howard Oliver: When a body is... er... would be severed in half and blown half, you see that... a lot with more victims you see it... people who get run over by a train, they cut some arm, as long as you have er... complete circulation of blood... in your body, you should survive it.

(CGI human lying, gets run over by a heavy tire, crushing the intestines)

Dr. Howard Oliver: If you cut off your legs, the... circulation can still travel down the order, you go back up to the heart. You can body pass legs with no problem.

(The ambulance arrives)

Frank: (Screams)

Narrator: With Frank still kicking, more or less, paramedics arrived to transport both halves of his body to a local trauma center.

(The ambulance goes away)

Narrator: In a twisted fate, the anti-coup is lost in hour because each half was sent to another hospital.

(The ambulance sends Frank's leg to another hospital, which will result Frank to die offscreen)

Narrator: Doctors spent several hours trying to save Soriani's life. But, he finally expired an incredible 3 and a half hours after the accident occurred.

(After the deathcard, the trivia, Body Science is playing)

Narrator: On September 10th, 1945, Lloyd Olson chopped off the head of the chicken for that night's dinner. To his surprise, the chicken remained alive for 18 more months. Lloyd had cut of the head, but much of the brainstem remained intact. Mike the headless chicken was fed grain and water through an eye dropper.
