"Homie's Dead", Way to Die #182, is the second death to be featured in "Star Death: The Last Generation", which aired on February 8, 2012.

Brad and Tracey were sleeping in bed trying to let the warm air out of their window. Little do they know is that open windows might give a burglar like Vince a chance to break in and steal some stuff. While the two are sleeping, Vince sneaks in and starts ransacking. When he fumbles with an object that makes sound, it wakes up Tracey who wakes up Brad. Brad pulls a gun out of his drawer and quietly walks out of his bedroom to investigate. But as he was checking, Tracey asks out loud what is going on prompting Brad to tell her to be quiet. Yet Tracey's speaking volume alerts Vince and he grabs a baseball bat and hit Brad in the head. Terrified, Tracey tries in vain to perform CPR on Brad, and is unsuccessful and Brad was dead. Vince threatens to kill Tracey if she takes a step towards him, not allowing her to try more CPR. Vince was finished robbing the house and was about to make an escape when he was suddenly startled by Brad, who was suddenly alive and no longer dead, walking out of the window door, causing Vince to lose his grip of the rope and fall off the balcony and land on the sidewalk hard fracturing his skull, killing him. It turns out that while Tracey was performing CPR on Brad, her hands pressing on his chest caused his heart to beat again thus making Brad regain his consciousness, which is a rare form of circulation called Lazarus Syndrome. When Tracey sees Brad alive, she was relieved. In the end, because Brad was revived, the sting of karma and a 20-foot skull shattering fall causes Vince to die, sending him straight to hell.

"On a hot summer night, a husband met a thief. Vince got away with the goods, but Brad went away for good." (False ending: Homie Invasion)

"There'll be no resurrecting you Vince, ya rat bastard." (True ending: Homie's Dead)
