"Shoots & Ladders", Way to Die #79, is the fourth death to be featured in "Eat, Pray, Die", which aired on August 8, 2011.

Plot[]

Ralph lived by his rules which he called "The Book of Ralph", the rule number 1 was not to disturb Ralph while he watched reruns of The A-Team but his neighbor's new dog was barking non-stop, Ralph went to ask his neighbor to quiet the dog but she didn't think it was something they should worry about, te dog kept barking so Ralph used plan B, another rule of the book was that guns were man's best friend, Ralph went up to the attic and he took a slingshot, he looked out the window, hit the dog and this made him shut up, the book said, after committing a crime, Ralph had to hide the evidence, but 1000 Ways to Die had its own Rule Book and one rule was that if an idiot messed with a creature of God, he had to be ready for a cosmic revenge, on the head, as Ralph came down from the attic, a screw of the ladder came out causing the ladder to move, this caused Ralph's right leg to get stuck and he fell off the ladder backwards and hit his head against the floor, this caused a cerebral hemorrhage that killed him and sending the fool to hell, at that moment the dog recovered and barked again.

"The book of Ralph states, 'After committing a crime, hide all evidence. But check it out, Ralph. Here on 1000 Ways To Die, we got our own book of rules. One of 'em says, 'If any asswipe messes with one of God's creatures, be prepared for a cosmic slap...upside da head!'"

Goofs/Trivia[]

  • Factual Error: Unless you’re old or have osteoporosis, a fall from an eight-foot ladder won't kill you (Ralph in this case) -- he would've just suffered a minor concussion.
  • The last line in the doggerel quote was a derivation of Mr. T's catchphrase "I Pity the Fool" from the 1982 film Rocky III.
  • The CGI would later be used in Homie's Dead.
