"Back Broke Mountain", Way to Die #111, is the third death to be featured in "Come On, Get Deathy", which aired on January 20, 2010.
Plot[]
Wanda and her husband, Marco, were out taking a hike near a cliff. He had originally planned to divorce her, but he later had planned to murder her to collect her insurance.
"Your ass is getting bigger." -Wanda saying something that CANNOT be left out!
During the hike, Marco excuses himself from Wanda to secretly call his lover. Thinking Marco was peeing in the bushes, Wanda informs him to come on. When they view the scenery, Marco begins the plan, making it look like he's taking a picture of him and Wanda with his camera phone. However, Wanda shoves Marco off the edge of the cliff by accident after trying to fight him off in self-defense. This results in a treacherous tumble, strait to the base of the mountain. During the fall, the rocky mountainside breaks many of his bones. The mountainside broke his back, crushed his spine, shattered his skull, snapped his neck, broke his arms and legs, destroyed his internal organs, caused irreversible brain damage, unfathomable agony, and total annihilation, sending the attempted-killing husband to the hell as he deserves.
"It was time for divorce, Marco-style."
Transcript[]
(Wah Wah Death is playing)
Narrator: Sometimes things aren't as they seem. Take these 2 hikers for example. Marco and Wanda seem to be just another married couple out for a hike. They don't appear to be the happiest of couples, but if Wanda knew just how truly unhappy her husband was, she would've skip the hike,
Marco: Go!
Narrator: and call the police.
Wanda: What a douche...
(Wanda air kicks Marco so she would kick his ass)
Jessica Leroy, MA, MFT: When you lose respect in a relationship, this is what can happen: it can erode that trust, it can erode the good feelings, within the relationship...
Marco: We just ran...
Narrator: After 5 years their marriage was on the rocks.
Wanda: Your ass is getting bigger.
Narrator: They already discuss divorce. But Marco had a much simpler plan:
Marco: Hey, I gotta take a leak.
(Tango Death is playing)
Wanda: Make sure you jiggle it when it's done.
(Instead of taking a pee, Marco takes his phone to call someone)
Narrator: He was going to kill her. Make it look like an accident and spend all the insurance money with his mistress.
Marco: Yeah. I'm gonna do it, baby, yeah. I gotta- I gotta go!
(As Marco saw Wanda gets close in boredom, he hangs up)
Marco: Let's go. You ready?
Wanda: Yeah.
(Later, they reach the cliff, Baroque Death is playing)
Marco: Look at this view. This is like a 280-degree view here.
Narrator: Marco thought he'd be able to turn on the charm one last time before he did the dirty deed. But Wanda wasn't buying it.
Wanda: You know what this view reminds me of? Why I can't stand looking at you anymore.
(Creepy Death is playing)
Narrator: That was the last straw.
(Marco gets close to Wanda, about to take a "last" picture)
Marco: Come on, baby. Let's get a picture together.
Narrator: It was time for divorce, Marco-style.
Wanda: Get off.
(Wanda wants Marco to get his hand off her arm, but accidentally shoves Marco off the edge of the cliff)
-Wanda: (SCREAMS)
-Marco: Whoa!
(Suspense Procedural is playing, the CGI Marco falls off the cliff, destroying his head, too much shock for Wanda for what has she done)
Dr. DJ Green: Someone that falls... from 2 to 3 stories and lands on their face...
(CGI Marco bounces off, causing the knees to fracture too, and then the chest and back bone)
Dr. DJ Green: can result in facial fractures, skull fractures, bleeding from the brain as it collides with the inside of skull, and likely trauma to the spinal column...
(Wanda checks Marco's body, [] is playing)
Narrator: As much as Wanda wanted to get rid of Marco,
Wanda: (Gasps) Oh my god!
Narrator: this was NOT how she imagined it.
(Recap of Marco taking selfie with Wanda but Wanda wants Marco to get his hand off her arm)
Marco: Smile for the picture.
Wanda: Get off.
(Wanda accidentally shoves Marco off the edge of the cliff)
Narrator: Marco's plan didn't just backfire...
Wanda: (SCREAMS)
Narrator: it broke his back.
